My Favorite place: Virginia beach

 Ever since I was little, my grandparents would take me and my sister on vacations. One year we went to this beautiful beach and from that moment it became our summer trip. We go to Virginia Beach every other summer so we could explore more of the world. This year we will not be going. instead, we will be going to Arizona. Virginia Beach has a very special meaning to me and my sister. The water is always like bath water; the waves are so fun to ride. You meet so many people there and form so many little bonds.  Throughout the little streets off the strip, fun little performances leave you on your toes. My favorite shop to go into is the Boba tea place. OMG, IT'S SO GOOD.    This picture was taken from the balcony of the hotel my family and I always stay at. Protecting The Itatiaia Highland Frog

 The endangered species this frog looks very similar to the Itatiaia highland  frog. Image of the Itatiaia Highland Frog:  The Itatiaia highland frog. I chose this species because it is very adorable and not much attention is shown to frogs. The status of the species is decreasing, and it is not clear how many individuals are still alive today.  This tiny frog, measuring only around 1.5 centimeters in length, is known for its striking coloration and distinctive physical features. The Itatiaia Highland Frog is particularly notable for its vibrant orange coloration, which covers much of its body. This coloration is believed to serve as a warning to predators, as the frog's skin contains toxic compounds that can be harmful to predators. Another distinctive feature of the Itatiaia Highland Frog is its flattened, almost pancake-like appearance. the spill that went down in Environmental history

This image is the Deepwater horizon on fire, with boats trying to make an effort to contain the flames.   The incident The Deepwater Horizon was an offshore drilling rig that was located in the Gulf of Mexico. On April 20, 2010, an explosion occurred on the rig, causing it to catch fire and sink two days later. The incident resulted in the deaths of 11 workers and one of the largest oil spills in history.  I chose to write about this tragic incident after learning about how damaging oil is to our world. Deepwater Horizon was a very serious incident in environmental history. The incident began with a blowout, which occurs when drilling mud. The mud is used to keep the pressure under control and is displaced by the oil and gas being drilled. The pressure tests the staff ran was okay at first. All of a sudden, a burst of oil and mud escaped from the well. The gas also started overheating, and the deepwater horizon rose in flames. The fire burned for two days before the rig s...
